Branding & Identity
Graphic Design & Branding
This project was completed for my Branding & Identity course, which focused on the research, strategy, and planning that inform successful brand development. Throughout the class, I learned how to build brands with intention by conducting research, planning implementations, and establishing measurable goals for success.
For the project, I created Stiki, a coffee syrup brand inspired by my personal interest in making flavored syrups for coffee and matcha. Because of this connection, I wanted the brand to feel authentic, playful, and approachable while reflecting the handcrafted nature of the product.
A key part of the identity was the custom logotype. I wanted the lettering to appear as though it had been drawn directly with syrup, so I experimented with materials such as glue, honey, and icing to explore organic forms and natural flow before refining the final design. These physical studies informed the fluid, handcrafted character of the mark.
The packaging was designed around accessibility and familiarity. I chose a traditional squeeze bottle to create an inviting user experience and reinforce the product’s casual, everyday appeal. Every element of the brand was developed to communicate warmth, creativity, and the joy of customizing a favorite drink.
This project strengthened my understanding of brand strategy, concept development, and the relationship between visual identity and product experience.
