Exhibition Signage
Graphic Design
This project was completed for my Typography I course and explored the expressive potential of typography through a series of experimental studies. The final assignment involved creating promotional materials (including posters and business cards) for an art exhibition I had visited, using type as the primary visual element.
Throughout the process, I experimented with unconventional typographic techniques, pushing beyond traditional layouts to explore form, texture, composition, and legibility. These studies helped me investigate how typography can communicate mood, movement, and meaning while functioning as both content and image.
The experiments shown here represent key stages of the design process and informed the development of the final promotional materials. By testing a range of approaches, I gained a deeper understanding of typographic expression and learned how experimentation can lead to stronger conceptual and visual outcomes.
This project strengthened my foundation in typography, creative problem-solving, and iterative design, while encouraging me to view type as a flexible and expressive design medium.
